LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — The coronavirus pandemic has caused the University of Louisville to cut down its football budget.

According to Athletic Director Vince Tyra, the cut is due to the fact that tickets aren't for sale. There aren't any profits from college apparel and there aren't any concessions sales.

The director says there will be a 15% cut across the sports and administration budget.

Earlier this month, the University of Louisville announced they were implementing employee furloughs and pay cuts to top administrators and faculty. The pay cuts are for all U of L employees making six figures and more.
