LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 17-year-old has died after a shooting near McClain Drive and N. Broadway Park.
The Fayette County Coroner's Office says it happened shortly before 6:00 a.m. Friday. The coroner says Micheal Proctor, a student-athlete at Frederick Douglass High School, was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. His manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
An autopsy will be conducted at the Medical Examiner's office.
