SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) – It may sound like a fairy tale, but a black bear decided to go to a Magoffin County elementary school several days in a row.
The principal of South Magoffin Elementary School said that a bear has been spotted near the school several days in a row. As a precaution, teachers kept all students indoors. They did, however, open the windows so students could see the black bear wander the grounds so that instructors could have a lesson on wildlife.
The school called Fish & Wildlife to take the bear to a veterinarian.
