LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man has been arrested following a crash in Letcher County that left several people injured.
It happened just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday on US 23 in Jenkins, near the Kentucky and Virginia border.
Kentucky State Police say John Gibson was heading south on US 23, when he noticed a traffic safety checkpoint.
He then turned around and began heading the wrong way when he collided with Tony Kiser.
Police say Gibson and his two passengers were taken to a local hospital.
Gibson faces several charges, including DUI.
