LYNDON, Ky (WAVE 3)– A prayer service was held Sunday afternoon for a teenager who was badly injured when he was swept away through a drainage pipe, according to WAVE 3.

The prayer service was held Sunday afternoon at St. Margaret Mary.  Davey Albright, 15, was critically injured Friday. Officials say he was playing in a drainage ditch near Melissa Drive when he was swept away through the pipe. They say that the water carried him around 100 yards to the back of a home on Tamarisk Parkway.

WAVE 3 reports that over 150 friends and family members attended the vigil to pray for the Trinity High School student.

His friends set up a GoFundMe to help pay for his medical bills. The GoFundMe claims that a liter of water had to be removed from his lungs and that he needs help breathing. It also states that Albright is on several medications and is still not awake.
