LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Kentucky state representative says his son “is in God’s hands’ after a fall last week from his apartment balcony in Lexington.
In a Facebook post Monday afternoon, state Rep. Chris Harris (D-Forest Hills) thanked well-wishers, praised health care providers and asked for continued prayers for his 19-year-old son, Corbin.
Earlier, a posting by Rep. Dean Schamore (D-Hardinsburg) said Corbin had showed “signs of improvement.”
A Democratic Party of Kentucky spokeswoman requested privacy for the family.
Corbin Harris apparently fell from a 4th-floor balcony near the University of Kentucky campus.
It happened late Aug. 30 on South Broadway.
In a twitter post, the Kentucky House Democrats also offered support:
We in the House Democratic Caucus extend our thoughts and prayers to our colleague Representative Chris Harris and his family following an accident involving his son Corbin late Thursday night. We pray for Corbin’s recovery and for the Harris family during this difficult time.
