Shelter Seeking Donations to Help Care For Neglected Animals

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Clark County Animal Shelter is seeking donations after taking in several emaciated animals over the weekend.

Officials in Clark County say the animals were discovered Saturday after a voicemail from someone concerned about the situation. Authorities found four dogs and one cat in “extremely poor health” at a home described as abandoned.

According to the shelter charges are pending, but right now their main focus is helping the animals.

Donations of supplies such as food, litter and bleach are also needed.
