BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WLWT)—Storms rolled quickly and intensely through the state Wednesday, leaving a trail of damage in several counties.

Lightning was the main concern and according to WLWT it really wreaked havoc in Hebron.

The Hebron Fire chief said they responded to six structure fires Wednesday evening that all appeared to have been started by lightning.

He said the first call came in at 5:30 p.m. The worst one was on Whispering Pines, he said, where a home had flames shooting through the roof.

His department received help from many other departments, Scheben said.

While they had to respond to many in a short period of time, he said luckily, no one was hurt in any of the fires.
