King and two others were able to save Bowling, but King left before any thanks could be given.

King will be awarded the prestigious Soldier’s Medal on Friday at Fort Knox.

Bowling will meet with his good Samaritans around 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Limestone Grill in Mount Vernon where they will be honored by the city and state.
