LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)–Disgraced attorney Eric C. Conn has been sentenced to an additional 15 years in federal prison for his escape attempt.

As part of his new deal, Conn had to plead guilty to three conspiracy-related charges. He was already facing 12 years in prison for his role in a massive social security fraud scheme before he fled to Central America.

That brings Conn’s total sentence to 27 years.

He will also have to pay social security back more than $73 million.

The battle wages on for clients of Conn who lost their social security disability. Many are still facing hearings to determine if they qualify for their benefits which were stripped after investigation into Conn’s scheme.
