LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– A Papa John’s executive is leaving the troubled company effective immediately.

Timothy O’Hern announced Wednesday that he is retiring, according to an SEC filing.

He became the president of the company’s international division in May.

A spokesperson for the company says O’Hern is leaving for personal reasons.

His departure comes as the company is still reeling after news broke in July that founder John Schnatter used a racial slur during a conference call.
