WINCHESTER, Ky. (LEX 18) -Two people in Clark County are charged in connection with several neglected animals found at a Winchester home last weekend.

Holly Lankford and Phillip Brandenburg are charged with cruelty to animals.

The Clark County shelter says the emaciated animals are their first priority and the four dogs and one cat will need weeks, if not months of care before they’re healthy again.

Officials found the animals Saturday after a tip from a concerned neighbor on Linden Avenue in Winchester.
