ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two teenagers were arrested after leading police on a 30-mile chase from Corbin to Mount Vernon.

Police say this began after a car was stolen from the Kentucky Juvenile Justice group home around 6 p.m. Saturday.

The car was spotted by a Knox County deputy in Corbin a short time later, but the driver sped away and headed onto Interstate Highway 75.

The deputy said the car fled at speeds of up to 90 m.p.h., but the driver was slowed by heavy traffic.

Eventally, Rockcastle County deputies stopped the vehicle near mile marker 59, but not before the driver allegedly rammed into police cruisers.

Authorities say 18-year-old Zaeontae Todd of Middlesboro is jailed on numerous charges, including theft, assault and wanton endangerment.

A juvenile occupant of the vehicle also was arrested.
