MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)- A woman charged in connection with a teenager’s murder case was sentenced in two cases today.
Meagan Sims and Zachary Lay were both accused of evidence tampering in 17-year-old Tristan Cole’s death for allegedly trying to sell the murder weapon.
They were later arrested again when officers allegedly found drugs in their home, along with a week old baby.
Sims was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation.
