Salvation Army Prepares For Hurricane Florence

(LEX 18)– The Salvation Army is deploying mobile feeding units, staff, and volunteers to assist in areas where Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall.

They have feeding units in North Carolina and South Carolina on stand-by, as well as 10 in Virginia on stand-by.  Feeding units from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia are deploying to North Carolina. Feeding units from the Kentucky/Tennessee division are deploying to Roanoke, Virginia due to projected flooding in that area.
