CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (The Winchester Sun)– A man has been charged in connection to a shooting early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 1:31 a.m. on Jackson Street in Winchester.
Officials say 34-year-old Ernesto Muniz-Batiz is charged with first-degree assault for allegedly shooting another person.
According to the arrest citation obtained by The Winchester Sun, detectives followed a blood trail to Muniz-Batiz’s apartment, where they found him lying in bed with a 9mm handgun.
Muniz-Batiz is being held on a $100,000 cash bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Clark District Court.
