LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– RJ Corman is stepping in to help with the response to Hurricane Florence.

The company released a statement Wednesday morning saying:

“Due to the recent threat of Hurricane Florence striking the east coast, we have initiated our Storm Team. R. J. Corman deploys the combined resources of many of its companies into a ‘Storm Team’ that can provide multiple services before, during and after natural disasters. Those services include railroad reconstruction and rehabilitation, generator deployment, temporary base camp infrastructure, cleanup and repairing flood damage and washouts.

We are in contact with railroads in the path of the hurricane, and we are prepared to respond when and if they need assistance. We have employees and equipment in strategic locations across the country, and our crews are being dispatched across South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. As always, safety is our first priority, especially as we plan and execute our response to natural disasters.”
