HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Search and rescue crews in Harrison County have confirmed that they have located the body of a missing fisherman.
Around 8 a.m. they deployed three boats on South Fork Licking River with K-9 units. At 9:38 a.m. they located the body of 77-year-old Porter Lamb, who has been missing since Saturday.
He was found two miles downriver from where he went in below A-Keller dam.
Lamb and a friend were participating in a fishing tournament when their boat got too close to Terry Dam.
His friend was pulled from the river. Lamb was swept away.
High water and strong currents made it difficult for search crews to find Lamb’s body.
