WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– It’s taken four years to restore, but the Castle and Key Distillery will open to the public next week.

The distillery, located off McCracken Pike, is on historic grounds dating back to the late 1800s. The property includes the iconic castle, a springhouse, warehouses, and gardens.

The 130-year-old distillery features unique cocktails made with their restoration release gin and vodka.

Castle and Key believes they have a lot to offer everyone.

“Each detail, we put a lot of effort in to make sure that the way that people feel when they’re here is really something different,” said Marianne Eaves, a master distiller.

The grand opening is next Wednesday, Sept. 19.
