LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– Police have made an arrest in the death of a woman discovered dead near a Louisville home Wednesday.
Robert Lee Allen Hutchinson, Jr. was arrested Thursday in connection to the homicide of 34-year-old Meghan Leigh Hough.
Hough was found around 3:15 p.m. in the 800 block of Cheri Way. Police said she was located inside a Hometown Hauling trashcan outside in the driveway.
Hutchinson was last seen with the victim, according to police.
During an interview with police, Hutchinson reportedly admitted to driving Hough to the apartment and entering the space alone with her.
Hutchinson told police he blacked out and woke up in a forest. He also told police he apologized to his family and told them he had done something wrong.
Police observed injuries on Hutchinson’s hands consistent with striking something.
Hutchinson was charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
