LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested a man and woman were arrested and charged after being accused of physically and sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.
Police say 34-year-old Antonio Ramirez Lopez and 28-year-old Bridgett D. Sizemore are charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
Ramirez Lopez also is charged with fourth-degree assault and is subject to deportation.
Sheriff’s police say the arrests followed deputies investigating a complaint at home south of London on Kentucky Highway 552.
Police determined that the girl had been sexually abused by Ramirez Lopez and said Sizemore knew of the abuse but did’t stop it or report it.
Ramirez Lopez also is accused of striking the girl in the face.
