4 Face Drug Charges After Stop In Laurel Co.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested four people on drug charges after a traffic stop near North Laurel High School.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy attempted make a traffic stop about 9:30 p.m. Friday off Hal Rogers Parkway.

Police said an attempt to flee and a scuffle with police caused a disturbance near the school as a football game was being played. All four people in the car were arrested.

Those charged:

  • 23-year-old Megan N. House of London was charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

 

  • 34-year-old Randolph F. Sizemore of Barbourville was charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, giving false identifying information, public intoxication – controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

 

  • 20-year-old Cody Pruitt of Keavy was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

 

 

  • 40-year-old Wendy J. Hooker of Barbourville was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, public intoxication – controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

 

Sizemore also was wanted on outstanding warrants out of Whitley and Laurel counties and is subject to parole violations.

Pruitt also was wanted on a warrant out of Jefferson County.
