LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) –  As Hurricane Florence continues to batter the Carolinas, LEX18, the Salvation Army of Central KY, Cumulus Media, Fayette Mall, and Southland Christian Church are teaming up to help the Salvation Army’s relief efforts.

On Tuesday, Sept.18, the relief drive will be at the south parking lot of Southland Christian Church’s Richmond Road campus in Lexington from noon-7:30 p.m.

Personalities from LEX18 News and Cumulus radio stations will be there to meet and greet people dropping off donations.

The Salvation Army mobilized days before Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas, and is in place to provide immediate assistance to thousands of victims- with food, hydration, shelter, clothing, and emotional and spiritual support. Donations are needed now to keep their work going during this critical time for people devastated by the hurricane.

Checks should be made payable to The Salvation Army with “Hurricane Florence” in the memo line at the bottom left of the check.

On Monday, the Hurricane Florence Relief Drive was at the Fayette Mall entrance. During that day, $6,587 was raised for victims of Hurricane Florence.
