MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials say a Madison County grand jury has indicted a Richmond man on murder charges in the June shooting death of another man.
Authorities say 23-year-old William Edward Kellogg is accused of fatally shooting 34-year-old Stephon Mundy at a home in the 9000 block of Landon Lane.
The grand jury also indicted Kellogg on one count of first-degree burglary in the case.
Officials said Kellogg broke into the home of an ex-girlfriend and shot Mundy during an altercation after finding him inside the residence.
The Madison County coroner said Mundy was shot five times.
Kellogg was being held in the Clark County Detention Center.
