Fugitive Out Of Mercer Co. Wanted On Drugs, Kidnapping Charges

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Law enforcement officials in Mercer County are warning residents to be on the lookout for a fugitive wanted on drugs and kidnapping charges.

Authorities say they are searching for Jamie Williams.

Officials say Williams was involved in an incident about 2 p.m. Monday “in the Cornishville Road and Okland Lane area of Mercer County.”

Details about the incident were not immediately provided.

However, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office says Williams is wanted for kidnapping, second-degree assault, first-degree flee/evading police on foot, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid, and criminal mischief.

Authorities say Williams also had active warrants on charge related to possession of methamphetamine and heroin.

Police ask that anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts call 911 or the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office at 859-734-4221.
