LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Jacobson Park will be closed for several hours Wednesday morning while officials conduct a disaster exercise.
This is part of the Division of Emergency Management’s participation in the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program.
The exercise begins at 8:30 a.m and will end by 2 p.m.
Officials say there will be increased traffic in the area, that will include police and fire vehicles, and Lextran buses.
The exercise will simulate an accident involving chemical agents stored at the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond.
