LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18)– The outer loop of Man o’ War Boulevard is reopen after being shut down for most of the evening due to a gas leak.
The closure happened just as rush hour was starting Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters say a crew working off Helmsdale Place hit a gas line, causing the road to be shut down from Pink Pigeon Parkway to Todds Road.
Firefighters have asked the Lexington Clinic to close early as a precaution. It's the closest building to the gas leak. Columbia gas says crews are monitoring the air and all nearby neighborhoods and businesses are safe @LEX18News pic.twitter.com/DCe0zsgvhP
