LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) A moment of silence will be held in honor of Marco Shemwell, the 4-year-old killed after he was struck by an allegedly intoxicated driver during the UK game last weekend.
“We will ask the #BBN to join us in a moment of silence in honor of Marco Shemwell before the national anthem at tomorrow’s @UKFootball game. Our hearts continue to be with the Shemwell family,” reads a tweet from UK’s Athletic Department.
Coach Stoops and several players will serve as honorary pallbearers at Shemwell’s funeral.
