LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man was arrested Sunday in connection to an armed robbery.
According to an arrest citation, 29-year-old Cory Allyn Smith is accused of threatening to use a deadly weapon by brandishing it to a person he was trying to rob.
Police say Smith was attempting to steal the victim’s watch.
Upon his arrest, officials found several individually wrapped baggies of marijuana in his backpack.
Smith is facing multiple charges, including first-degree robbery ad trafficking in marijuana less than 8 oz.
