AKRON, Ohio (LEX 18)– The man who sparked a three-month manhunt after allegedly making threats against President Donald Trump and Kentucky Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer appeared in federal court Monday.
27-year-old Shawn Christy had been on the run since June, before finally being captured near Columbus, Ohio on Friday.
While on the run, Christy allegedly broke into the Adair County homes of Meyer and his brother, and stole a jeep.
He’s expected to be back in court for a detention hearing Oct. 1.
