CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD)– Murray State University confirms the teen who died on campus this spring was not on the guest list of a fraternity party.

University officials say Zach Waldrip’s name was not on the list to be at the Pi Kappa Alpha party back on April 28.

He was found dead the next morning at Lambda Chi Alpha.

Waldrip’s family attorney says he believes excessive alcohol was a factor in the 19-year-old’s death.

The coroner has not released the official cause of death because the investigation is still open.

Probation for both fraternities was lifted on Aug. 31. As part of their punishment, members from both fraternities must complete four hours of community service.
