PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A suspect arrested Tuesday after a high-speed chase and officer-involved shooting in Pulaski County is the same man involved in a bizarre case involving a Somerset nursing home.

Roy Eugene Glover, 29, was arraigned Wednesday on multiple charges stemming from Tuesday’s incident, including attempted murder of a police officer. He entered a not guilty plea.

The high-speed chase ended with an officer-involved shooting and an injured sheriff’s deputy.

Lt. Jon Williams was treated and released after suffering minor injuries.

Police say Glover was driving the vehicle that struck the deputy when they were attempting to apprehend Glover and the man he was with.

The other man attempted to leave that scene and was shot and wounded by a Kentucky State Police trooper.

Williams is now at home recovering.

“He actually went across the roof of the vehicle and landed on his back on the road behind the vehicle,” said Capt. Troy McLin of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. “So he’s pretty sore this morning and was hurting in his back area. But he’s doing very well considering the incident.”

Somerset police say Glover is the same man arrested in June after being accused of stealing from, and at times living in, the facilities at a Somerset nursing home and rehab.
