LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington author Gwenda Bond has been tagged to write a novel based in the hit Netflix Series ‘Stranger Things’ universe and now you can have a sneak peek at the novel.

LEX 18 spoke with her when she first shared the news.

“I’m a huge fan of the show and also kind of the things that it draws from… the early Stephen King books, all of the Steven Spielberg movies,” said Bond.

The show, set in 1980s Indiana, features five young heroes battling against dark forces in their small town.  The book that Bond is writing is sent in 1969 and will delve into the life of the mother of “Eleven,” the little girl with supernatural powers.

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive look at not only the cover of the new book but a preview of the book as well.
