RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) – Award-winning, multi-platinum entertainer Harry Connick, Jr., extends his New Orleans Tricentennial Celebration into the Christmas holiday season with a stop at the EKU Center in Richmond, Kentucky, on Saturday, December 1 at 7:30 PM.
Connick was last in The Bluegrass State in 2017 to sing the national anthem at the 143rd Kentucky Derby.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, September 28 at 10:00 AM, and are priced at $59, $79, $105, and $130.
Tickets can be purchased online at EKUCenter.com, by calling the box office at 859-622-7469, or in person at 1 Hall Drive in Richmond, on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. Friends of the Center can buy tickets early starting on Tuesday, September 25.
Over the past three decades, Connick has established himself as a musician, singer and composer par excellence, a legendary live performer and a best-selling artist with millions of recordings sold around the world. Highlights of his music career include several multi-platinum recordings such as “When Harry Met Sally,” “Blue Light, Red Light (Someone’s There),” “When My Heart Finds Christmas,” “Come By Me,” and “Only You.”
In the fall of 2016, he launched Harry, a national daytime television show featuring his touring band, which earned 11 Daytime Emmy nominations in its two seasons, including two nominations for Best Host, and a Critics’ Choice nomination for Best Talk Show. On Broadway, Connick received Tony nominations as both a lead actor in The Pajama Game and as a composer/lyricist for Thou Shalt Not.
