LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) A man was transported to UK Medical Center after receiving two gunshot wounds, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reports that Thursday evening, around 4:54 p.m., shots were fired between two men, with one receiving two gunshot wounds, one to the shoulder and one to the face. The sheriff’s office said that he was escorted from the scene into a personal vehicle and transported to Baptist Healthcare, then to UK Medical Center.
The shooting is allegedly the result of an ongoing domestic situation between the two, according to the investigating detective.
Two weapons, a 9MM and a .45 Caliber handgun, were recovered.
No charges have been filed.
