WASHINGTON COUNTY, KY. (The Springfield Sun)– A 16-year-old has died as a result of a construction accident earlier this month.

Sheriff’s officials tell The Springfield Sun that Gilbert Medina, of Louisville, was found dead Sept. 10 at a home on Bardstown Road.

Witnesses say the teen was trying to put up a ladder, but was electrocuted.

The sheriff noted that there were “burn marks on the body stomach area and the sides of both feet. The white socks had burn marks located on both socks and the brown work shoes had burn marks on both the outside areas.”
