JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office says a thoroughbred horse had to be euthanized after being shot Thursday night.
The incident happened at a farm on Tates Creek Road. The horse was not found until Friday morning. Its injuries were so severe, that the call was made to euthanize the animal, according to Lt. Anthony Purcell with the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say multiple shell casings were found at the scene.
They are not sure if the shooter was on foot or in a car. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 859-885-4139.
