LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man turned himself in to police after being accused of robbing a Lexington drugstore.

LEX 18 reported earlier that the Rite Aid on Loudon Avenue was robbed Friday morning by a man wielding a knife. After the clerk handed over all of the money in his register, the man then fled the store on foot.

Later that afternoon, 37-year-old Christopher Demar Rogers surrendered to police and reportedly confessed to the robbery.

Rogers has been charged with first-degree robbery.

He was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
