HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Deputies in Hopkins County have arrested a man believed to have stolen several ATVs.
A felony arrest warrant had already been issued for 33-year-old Matthew Earl Jones of Nortonville, and he was wanted for questioning about others stolen in the area, when the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office received reports that he was driving riding another stolen ATV through neighbors’ yards.
Deputies responding to the calls found the ATV parked behind a residence and after talking to the homeowner, found Jones hiding in the attic.
Jones was arrested without incident and charged with receiving stolen property.
He was being held in the Hopkins County Jail.
