NEWPORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Newport are looking for a pair of thieves who stole more than $26,000 from a Brink’s driver.
Authorities say the incident happened Friday morning.
Police say the driver was in the process of retrieving deposits from an ATM at Newport on the Levee, when one of the men ran up, grabbed a bag and ran away. Another man believed to be his lookout left with him.
The theft was caught on security cameras in the area.
Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact authorities.
