(LEX 18) — Local emergency and law enforcement officials are raising money for a planned trip to North Carolina to help with hurricane relief efforts.
Phillip Johnson with First Responders Missional Community and the Fraternal Order of Police Bluegrass Lodge 4 says crews hope to be in North Carolina Oct. 10-14, with a primary mission to offer relief to first responders currently on site.
The region is struggling to rebound from the effects of Hurricane Florence.
