Frankfort Man Arrested After Surrendering During Chase

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man faces several charges after authorities say he led them on a chase in Franklin County.

It happened Tuesday night around 6 p.m. in the Bellpoint area of Frankfort.

The sheriff’s office says deputies were searching for 24-year-old James Steverson on an outstanding warrant.

When they tried to approach him, they say he took off on his motorcycle.

Deputies followed Steverson onto Bald Knob Road and the chase lasted several miles until he stopped and surrendered.

Steverson faces multiple charges including fleeing and evading police, and several drug and gun charges.
