Lexington Woman Indicted On Manslaughter, Wanton Endangerment Charges

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman accused of firing shots that killed one person and endangered several others has been indicted on a manslaughter charge.

Montash Loray Jackson is accused of killing 19-year-old Jasmir Allen on July 29.

Police say Jackson and Allen, who knew each other, were fighting when Jackson pulled out a gun and shot her in the upper body.

Allen was taken to the hospital with serious injuries where she later died.

She is also accused of firing several shots at witnesses in the area.

Jackson is facing one count of second-degree manslaughter and four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
