LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A suspect has been identified in the fatal shooting of a Lexington man.
Police obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday for 32-year-old Jermaine D. Yates. Detectives believe that Yates shot and killed Kerry D. Kenney on July 1.
Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe a drug transaction led up to the shooting on Short Street.
Anyone with knowledge of Yates’ whereabouts is asked to contact police.
