LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A ribbon cutting Thursday will officially dedicate the renovation of a homeless youth shelter in Lexington.

The Arbor Youth Services ‘MASH Drop Inn Emergency Shelter’ was suffering from a leaking roof, broken windows and broken exterior staircases. It also needed electrical and kitchen updates.

Renovations began in May, and finished last month.

Members of the organization’s board, as well as Mayor Jim Gray, will attend Thursday’s event.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on West Third Street.
