LOUISVILLE, Ky. (CNN)– Moments after hearing his prison sentence, a Louisville man tried to escape from a courtroom and the moment was caught on camera.

29-year-old Raitonn Woodford attempted to make a break for it in Jefferson County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

It happened so fast the camera in the courtroom was still locked on an empty witness chair.

Woodford learned he had been sentenced to serve the next five years in prison, after his probation was revoked for drug and weapons charges.

A sheriff’s deputy and police officer stopped him with a tackle with the help of Woodford’s girlfriend.

“Well that’s a first in 19 years on the bench,” said Judge Barry Willett. “She did tackle him on the way out.”

Woodford’s girlfriend claims she was pushed and her hair was pulled by a deputy during the scuffle.

Woodford is now facing additional charges of second-degree escape, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and third-degree assault.
