Police: 2 Arrested After Man Rams Police Car With Motorcycle

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities arrested two people after a chase during which one suspect is accused of ramming a police cruiser with his motorcycle.

Authorities say 28-year-old Jimmy Dale Jarvis of Annville faces a raft of charges in the case, while 26-year-old Danielle Mullins of East Bernstadt is charged with fleeing police.

Police say the incident began about 9 a.m. Friday on Kentucky Highway 30 north of London when a deputy tried to stop Jarvis.

“The suspect then traveled off the roadway into a field where he used his motorcycle to ram the side of a police car,” according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say Jarvis attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Mullins also was on the motorcycle and attempted to flee but was caught.

Jarvis was charged with fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, fleeing or evading police on foot, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree assault of a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and other traffic violations.

Both were being held in the Harlin County Detention Center.
