LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Starting Tuesday, city planning staff will set up at different events and talk with people about the future of Lexington.

They are looking to get input for the city’s comprehensive plan, a plan that is updated every five years.

This plan will outline Lexington’s growth and development strategy and vision for the next 20 years.

Throughout the week, staff members will talk with people at events around the city about everything from jobs to the environment to neighborhoods and rural-urban balance.

Locations include Thursday Night Live, West Sixth Brewery, and Freaky Friday Flicks.

There will also be a stand-alone event next week called Imagine Out Loud where planning staff will review the feedback received from all of Imagine Lexington Week.

That event is open to all ages and will be held Oct. 18 at the Lexington Senior Center.

Imagine Lexington Week kicks off Tuesday night with a new event happening every day through Saturday.
