HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A school district in Hardin County will be closed Wednesday due to a threat of violence.

Officials with the Elizabethtown Independent School District announced the decision in a Facebook post late Tuesday night.

The post said a threat of violence was made about someone wishing to harm themselves, or others.

It added that police are investigating the threat.

There are seven schools in the district.
