LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Lexington man has turned himself in for a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 21-year-old woman.
A passing witness located a woman in the inbound lane of Leestown Road. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. She was later identified as Nina C. Okawachi, 21.
Elliot L. Moton, 27, turned himself in and was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident/Failure to Render Aid.
Moton’s mother reached out to LEX 18 and said her son didn’t know he had hit anyone.
He is lodged in the Fayette Co. Detention Center.
